KANSAS CITY, Mo. – When Darren Dupriest acquired the background screening division of Clarence M. Kelley and Associates in 2004, he had growth in mind. That growth was planned out, and Dupriest’s new company has undergone an extreme makeover.
With a new name – Validity Screening Solutions (Validity) – and a new corporate headquarters in Overland Park, Kan., the company is now positioned to focus on its core mission. That is to provide the most complete and reliable background checks and drug testing available, bar none.
“The name Validity conveys our sole focus on providing the highest quality, most up-to-date information, as well as ongoing education to our clients,” said Dupriest. The name change took place in June.
Since becoming a separate division, Validity’s revenues have increased 54 percent. Validity has also launched the first of its kind academic background check division, which conducts background checks for more than 100 universities, community colleges and specialized schools for enrollment and program acceptance.
In addition to these changes, Validity has grown in other ways. “We’ve created five new positions within the organization, while keeping all former division employees,” Dupriest said. “Those positions are all front-line and customer-centric, which enables Validity to further enhance its customer care programs. We have also implemented plans to include future acquisition of strategically located and best-of-class, mid-size background check providers.”
The company has launched a new Web site, www.validityscreening.com, to unveil its new look and to provide clients and prospects with complete information on its services.
“We truly want to be a partner to our clients in all aspects of background checks and drug testing,” said Dupriest. “We’ve really fine-tuned our mission and our promise to provide a superior comfort level to every client.”
